A national parkour jam hosted by the Texas community




Texas Winter Jam is an open and diverse event for people of all ages, sizes, and experience levels. Whether it's your first time attending, or you've been every year, we provide open and structured formats for everyone. From Workshops for beginners, women, and kids to Specialist Sessions led by Local and Guest Coaches, everyone will be sure to find their niche.


A parkour jam is when a bunch of people from all over meet up to train, socialize and eat together. The Texas Winter Jam is exactly that, but we've taken it a step further. Here's what you can look forward to:    

  • Massive, diverse community gathering of like-minded characters of all ages, sizes, shapes, colors and backgrounds.

  • Lots of training. Although we tend to focus on parkour, art du deplacement and freerunning, this event is for a full spectrum of movement practitioners.

  • Many chances to explore the city and see sights while you train in downtown Austin.

  • Discounted Food. We do our best to partner with local sponsors to bring you discounted food during your stay.

  • Professional and organized approach to permitting, safety, security, scheduling and access to good food and facilities.

  • Time to make new personal and professional connections, and opportunities to catch up with old friends.

  • Local and National influences. We reach out to parkour gyms, coaches, and companies to bring you a broad variety of inspirations. 

  • Workshops and classes. Coaches, athletes, and organizations are brought directly to the community. With daily warm ups, beginners classes and technical sessions run by experienced practitioners.


January 4-6, 2019

The Jam officially starts on Friday the 4th. Saturday and Sunday will have options for training all day long. Sunday evening is the official end. Although the general theme for jams is open training, there will be additional group activities for anyone interested in structured sessions.


Austin, Texas

Everything happens in and around Austin, Texas. A detailed schedule and an interactive map will be released closer to the start date.


Air Travel

The Austin–Bergstrom International Airport will be the most direct options to fly in to. If you live nearby, or find a cheaper flight to a neighboring city like San Antonio, Houston or Dallas, Megabus is usually the best bus choice to travel between cities.


Land Travel

Carpooling is also a common mode of transportation for these events. If you need help getting to the jam fill out this Rideshare Document and we'll see what we can do to help.


Couch Travel

Couch surfing, floor sleeping and just generally crashing with each other is also a big part of our community. So, if you need a place to stay or if you're interested in providing housing please fill out our Housing Form so we can do our best to help you get accommodated.
